CARE AND CLEANING GUIDE
3D Laminates, 5-Piece & 2DL Wired
Keeping your new door and drawer fronts clean is quick and easy.
Regular Cleaning
Gently wipe surfaces with a soft cloth or sponge and a mild soap-and-water solution.
Heavy pressure and continuous scrubbing are not recommended.
Cleaning of Stains
Whenever possible, avoid spraying any product directly on the surface, and always test in a non-visible location.
Common household cleaners without abrasives.
Diluted rubbing alcohol will remove most ink stains.
A small amount of Dawn dish soap diluted, or Simple Green® in a 50/50 mix with water, are good degreasers.
Always use a soft damp cloth or sponge to gently wipe the surface; 10–20 strokes should remove most stains.
Cleaning Products to Avoid
Products containing acetone, acid, or ammonia.
Solvent-based cleaners, paint thinners, wood preservatives.
Any abrasive liquid or powder cleansers.
Any abrasive material: brushes, scouring pads, or scrapers.
PLEASE NOTE: Use of any cleaning agent listed under “Cleaning Products to Avoid” will void the warranty.
Disinfecting Surfaces
Always clean the surface of any dirt (see Regular Cleaning) before disinfecting.
Mix 20 mL (4 teaspoons) of bleach with 1 L (4 cups) of water.
Wear disposable gloves and test for one minute on a non-visible location before wiping the entire surface.
If reusable gloves are used, they must be dedicated to cleaning and disinfecting only.
Never mix household bleach with ammonia.
Acrylic
The high-gloss surface becomes more scratch-resistant during the first few days after the protective film is removed.
This process can be accelerated by lightly polishing the surface immediately after removing the film using one of the listed polishes and a clean microfiber cloth.
Recommended polishes:
VuPlex® (sold by Renuit)
Novus 1 Polish – www.novuspolish.com
Plexus Plastic Cleaner – www.plexusplasticcleaner.com
Regular Cleaning (Acrylic)
Use a wet microfiber cloth or chamois with mild soap and water.
Work lightly, blotting the surface rather than applying too much pressure.
Lightly apply polish and buff as needed to maintain the acrylic finish.
Never dry-wipe the acrylic finish.
Cleaning Products to Avoid (Acrylic)
Any cleaners containing abrasives, ammonia, acetone, thinners, or methylated spirits.
Paper towels, brushes, scouring pads, or scrapers.
Most solvent-based cleaners and harsh chemicals such as sink and toilet bowl cleaners and thinners.
PLEASE NOTE: Use of any cleaning agent listed under “Cleaning Products to Avoid” will void the warranty.
For All Products: Avoid Excessive Heat and Steam
Self-Cleaning Ovens
Due to the extremely high temperatures vented from self-cleaning ovens, it is recommended that a heat shield be installed between the door/drawer fronts and a self-cleaning oven.
Also, open all doors and drawer fronts near the oven when it is operating in self-cleaning mode.
Small Appliances
Small appliances that produce high heat or steam should not be used directly under cabinet doors.
